Teo Morca's Castanets Workshop 1-4 August Here is an update as the workshop is set. Since castanets are the vogue right now,I am giving The Morca Castanet Intensive Workshop at the wonderful Sundance Studio in Taos, New Mexico, Wednesday August 1st through Saturday the 4th. It will run for the 4 days, 2 and 1/2 hours per day, from 10: AM to 12:30 PM. The afternoons will have charlas and finish Saturday night with a Juerga. Cost will be $160 for the 4 days and we will do technique, plus music of Sevillanas, Fandangos, Verdiales and some classical works. Also with bulerias if we all get up to speed. You will learn the arte and musicality of these instruments in the era of Antonia Merce', La Argentina.
Indian Hills Motel in downtown Taos has good rates. Chile Bus will haul you up and down the hill to Sundance Studio which is at 1022 Reed Street just beyond Walmart.
